Belgians choose tours to Vietnam
More Belgium people were traveling to Vietnam because it was fashionable, the Ambassador of Belgium in Vietnam Hubert Cooreman said.
Cooreman who began his term in Vietnam three months ago after a stint in Angola said, “Previously, Belgians only mentioned India and China when they talked about Asia but surprisingly they all talk about Vietnam now. For many Belgians, Vietnam is a must-go place. Vietnam is fashionable.”
Cooreman is currently visiting Ho Chi Minh City to attend the Belgian Food Promotion Week, organized by the Royal Belgian Consulate on January 14-18 at the Legend Hotel Saigon.
The week is considered a good chance for Belgian food processing companies to introduce products al local partners and consumers.
According to the Royal Belgian Consul General in HCMC Casier Dominique, the event is a great chance for the Belgian community to get together and enjoy special dishes from home.
There are more than 200 Belgians living in the city.
