Vietnam backs Iran's nuclear rights in UNSC

TEHRAN -Vietnamese Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Cao Duc Phat said his country backs Iran's nuclear rights in the UN Security Council and that Vietnam's membership in this council sets a good opportunity for cooperation in this regard.

During his meeting with the chief of Iran-Vietnam friendship association Kamaledin Sajadi, Cao Duc Phat hoped the two countries' good relations would lead to the expansion of ties in politic, economy and culture. Sajadi gave a report of his under control association and highlighted Iran and Vietnam's potentials for cooperation. He added the two sides have the same political directions in international arena and support each other in human rights issue.

First VP calls for stronger ties with Vietnam

TEHRAN - First Vice President Parviz Davudi here on Sunday called for further expansion of comprehensive relations with Vietnam. In a meeting with Vietnamese Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Cao Duc Phat, Davudi said, “No doubt the two countries’ friendly relations will considerably increase in the near future.”

He also proposed for the establishment of a joint economic committee for further development of cooperation, asserting that Iran is prepared to bolster bilateral relations with Vietnam in economic, political, and cultural spheres. The vice president also expressed appreciation for Vietnam’s support for Iran’s peaceful nuclear activities at the international venues. The Vietnamese minister, for his part, expressed his country’s interest in increasing cooperation with the Islamic Republic.

He said that Iran enjoys an important status in the Middle East and the world, adding, “Vietnam believes that it should take further steps to expand relations with friendly countries which have common views with us.
