Vietnam keenly interested in recent developments in Myanmar
As a regional country, "Vietnam is keenly interested in recent developments in Myanmar and expects concerned parties in the country to exercise restraints and solve differences through peaceful negotiations enabling the situation to be stabilized soon," a local Foreign Ministry spokesman said Friday.
"We wish Myanmar to actively and effectively implement the seven-point roadmap," spokesman Le Dung answered reporters' queries about the Vietnamese government's comment on this week's protests in Myanmar.
Vietnam hopes the Myanmar government and the United Nations will cooperate with each other in a constructive spirit, making contribution to promoting the national reconciliation and harmonization process in conformity with long-term interest of Myanmar and the region, he said.
