Canadian aircraft to make demo flights in Vietnam
The Embassy of Canada announced today that the Bombardier CRJ900 NextGen (next generation) passenger jet demonstration flights to be held in Hanoi on 10 September 2007 and in Ho Chi Minh City on 11 September 2007.
These demo flights are among Bombardier’s many activities in the Asia-Pacific region, including attendance at “Asian Aerospace 2007” in Hong Kong earlier this month. It is the first time Bombardier has brought one of its demonstration airplanes to Vietnam, said the embassy.
“Vietnam has a rapidly growing economy with a need for world-class aircraft”, remarked Canadian Ambassador Mr. Gabriel-M. Lessard. “Bombardier can offer some of the best airplanes in the world.” he added.
Bombardier Inc., with its global headquarters in Montreal, Canada, is world-renowned for its innovative transportation solutions, from regional aircraft and business jets to complete rail transportation equipment, systems and services.
Bombardier is the only manufacturer of two complete families of superior regional jets and impressive turboprops, ranging in size from 37 to 100 seats, all with low operating costs.
More than 2,200 of these aircraft have already been delivered to operators around the world, including some 40 operators in 14 countries in Asia-Pacific. Bombardier is the market leader for large and ultra-long range aircraft.
