Victoria to build one more beach resort in central Vietnam
The Victoria Hotels and Resorts has started work on a US$12-million beach resort in Thua Thien-Hue Province, its third in central Vietnam.
In the first stage, the 50 hectare resort on Vinh Thanh beach in Phu Vang district – over five kilometers from the former feudal capital of Hue – will have 80 villas and wooden bungalows, swimming pools, conference halls, restaurants, tennis courts, and a tourist wharf. It is due for completion by late 2008.
Victoria Hotels and Resorts operates four resorts and one hotel in Vietnam – Sapa resort in the northern Lao Cai province, Hoi An and Phan Thiet beach resorts and spas in the center, and Can Tho resort and Chau Doc Hotel in the Mekong Delta.
It has spent US$1.6 million to build nine more bungalows and a swimming pool at Victoria Phan Thiet to meet demand from tourists.
