French-language job fair set for tomorrow

HO CHI MINH CITY -The French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Vietnam, or CCIFV, has said a French-language job fair will be organized tomorrow, targeting visitors who have work experience and skills. CCIFV director Eric Flambard said experienced employees would be one of the focuses of the annual job fair the organization was organizing at the Rex Hotel in collaboration with French organizations.

Around 24 companies and organizations will participate in the one-day event beginning at 9 a.m. Flambard said some 250 French companies operating in Vietnam were looking for sales and personnel managers and directors, chief accountants, production directors, and those for medium and high leadership posts. Tran Thanh Nhan of the French-language Employment Center said French companies asked the center to find around 200 employees for them every year but the center was able to meet less than half the number.

Leaders of the participating companies will be present at the event to interview jobseekers, according to the organizing committee. Also on the agenda are the introduction of management courses for postgraduates in HCMC, seminars on labor regulations at foreign-invested enterprises, corporate management and culture, and student loans. The job fair last year attracted some 20 companies and more than 1,400 applicants.
