SET to jointly develop IT and business cooperation with Vietnam market
BANGKOK - The Stock Exchange of Thailand is set to jointly develop cooperation in information technology and business with the Ho Chi Minh City Securities Trading Center (HoSTC) of Vietnam.
SET’s President Kittirat Na Ranong said the exchange had signed a memorandum of understanding in the cooperation with HoSTC in place of the previous one, which is due to expire this year.
Under the MOU, SET will give the Vietnam stock market a continued support for IT on the supervision and maintenance of the securities trading system.
The MOU will also give business opportunities to the stock markets of the two countries.
He said Thai companies with joint ventures with Vietnamese investors would be encouraged to list on SET. They may opt to list on the HoSTC later.
