Vietnam to launch first legal online music Web site
Vietnam will, for the first time, provide more than 10,000 songs protected by copyright for online listening and downloading to local users.
On June 3, FPT Corporation signed an agreement with Vietnam Music Copyright Protection Center to provide copyright songs for the Web site www.nhacso.net.
Web surfers can listen to songs on the Web site for free, but will have to pay to download songs. Pre-paid cards will be available to pay for downloads.
This will be the country’s largest online legal music Web site when in place with more than 10,000 songs along with lyrics available.
The project is being developed with software program Vietnam Audio Networks, which won prizes at the Vietnam Intellectual Awards and Asia Pacific ICT Awards.
