The fourth annual jazz festival in Vietnam represents an event that grows by leaps and bounds each year, and this year runs from Nov 30 till Dec 10 in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
The play list includes nine jazz bands and soloists from around the world, including Mezcal Jazz Unit and Trio Portal, Aka Moon, Lars Storck, Trodheym, Joaquin Chacon and the Motif quintets, guitarist Sylvain Luc and trumpeter Ernie Hammes.
Younger musicians are also invited to join the festival, promising fresh vibes from contemporary European jazz and their Vietnamese counterparts.
There will be an outdoor concert as well as jam sessions among foreign artists with Vietnamese musicians and music students.
