French choreographer offers contemporary dance class in Vietnam

The renowned French choreographer and dancer Régine Chopinot is to help Vietnamese dancers to learn about European contemporary dancer during her half-month long course in Vietnam next month. The internationally-acclaimed artisit, who owns the company Ballet Atlantique, and the firm’s delegate director Bruno Lobe would teach dancers from Vietnam Junior College of Dancing and Vietnam Opera House from November 14-27, a source from the Ministry of Culture and Information said.

Her course was within the framework of the French project Priority Solidarity Fund, which was initiated in 2003, the source said. The activity aimed to help Vietnamese dancers understand contemporary dance techniques, as well as methods of teaching contemporary dances in France and other European countries.
