Vietnam wants to further develop comprehensive cooperation with France
HANOI - Viet Nam always wants to further develop comprehensive
cooperation with France and hopes that France will continue to support Viet Nam's
national renovation and construction.
So said Party General Secretary Le Kha Phieu in Ha Noi on Oct. 24 while receiving
a visiting French delegation, led by Jean Michel Severino, Finance Inspector General,
World Bank Deputy President in charge of Asia and Co-Chairman of the "Viet
Nam-France Dialogue and Exchange Forum on Economics and Finance".
The Party General Secretary welcomed the coordination of the two countries'
scholars in studying practical themes that play an advisory role in forming Viet Nam's
policy and expressed his wish that the forum would carry out practical activities that
contribute to enhancing the effectiveness of the two countries' cooperation.
Mr J. M. Severino informed the Vietnamese host of the successful results of the
forum's first working session in Ha Noi. He thanked the Vietnamese Party leader for
his attention to strengthen and expand the Viet Nam-France relationship as well as
the forum's activities.
