Ramos-Horta arrives in Vietnam
East Timor's Foreign Minister Jose Ramos-Horta has arrived in Vietnam on a
six-day visit.
Over the weekend he will visit Halong Bay, one of Vietnam's top tourist
destinations.
He's scheduled to meet with Prime Minister Phan Van Khai, Trade Minister
Truong Dinh Tuyet and other ministers on Monday and will hold talks with
President Tran Duc Luong on Tuesday.
Hanoi says the trip will be an opportunity for the two countries to exchange
views and to promote bilateral relations and cooperation.
Vietnam and East Timor established diplomatic relations in July 2002 after
Hanoi welcomed the election of Xanana Gusmao as East Timor's president.
