Two Taiwanese men arrested in Vietnam for mobile phone smuggling
Police in Vietnam have arrested two Taiwanese men for smuggling mobile phones and
accessories into the country.
Chou Cheng Min and Lo Chi Fang were arrested by customs officials at Ho Chi Minh
City's Tan Son Nhat international airport on Wednesday and Thursday respectively after
flying in from Taiwan.
Over the past fortnight,
customs officers have
discovered five rings smuggling
mobile phones worth tens of
thousands of dollars into
Vietnam.
On April 27 customs officials
found more than 100 mobile
phones of different trademarks
in the luggage of two Taiwanese
nationals at Tan Son Nhat.
Police subsequently arrested
their two Vietnamese partners
in Ho Chi Minh City and seized
