India pledges management, IT training for VN students

Speaking at a press conference convened by the Hanoi School of Business (HSB) on Wednesday, Ambassador Aftab Seth said India would offer more technical support programs to Vietnam in the field of management education and information technology, he said adding that Vietnamese students were "smart and hard-working" and would be very successful in the future, given the chance to study and the environment to develop.

The conference was aimed to introduce the application of India experiences in business management training in Vietnam and to highlight cooperation opportunities in the sector. A senior HSB delegation led by its Dean, Truong Gia Binh, visited leading management institutions in India last month.

VNS quoted Binh as saying that Indian institutions on business management training were among the best in Asia, "ranking higher than Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong and Thailand" in terms of quality and prestige. Ha Ton Vinh, who oversees international development of the HSB, noted that Indian institutions offered international quality at affordable tuition fees that are just 10 per cent of famous institutions in Asia and five percent of those in the US. HSB is poised to sign memorandums of understanding with several leading business management institutions in India, he said.
