Vietnamese girls trounce Indonesia 6-0
The Vietnamese women's football team trounced Indonesia 6-0 in their first match at the 21st
South East Asian (SEA) Games in Kuala Lumpur on September 5.
Vietnam attacked shortly after the kick-off and needed only two minutes to take the lead through
Doan Thi Kim Chi (14). Vietnam widened the lead in the 19th minute through midfielder Nguyen
Thi Mai Lan (5.) Key striker of Vietnam Luu Ngoc Mai scored a hat-trick in the 39th, 74th and
82nd minutes. Another goal came from Bui Thi Hien Luong (9) in the 71st minute.
The under-23 men's football team of Myanmar had their first 4-0 win over Laos on September 5.
Earlier, Myanmar was held to a scoreless draw by Cambodia.
The under-23s of Singapore gained six points to go to the top of group A after trouncing
Cambodia 5-0. Thailand also gained six points but played two games (one less than Singapore.)
