Construction of Hanoi National University started
Ceremony of starting construction of Hanoi National University has been held in Hoa Lac of Hanoi on December 20, 2003, with participation by the Prime Minister Phan Van Khai and Deputy PM Pham Gia Khiem.
The PM has launched order of starting the project on area of 1,000 ha in the border of two provinces of Ha Tay and Hoa Binh. Total investment of the project estimates at VND7,320 billion, to build functional parts as a center of operation and public services, areas of member colleges, science research, professional guidance and practice, and others.
The project plans to carry out within 13 years, including two stages: the first is from 2003 - 2007, the second will be from 2008 - 2015. As expected, in 2010, the Hanoi National University will receive enroll of 35,000 students; in 2020 when completed, the University will enroll 41,000 students, local sources reported.
