Foster's in Vietnam
Foster's has moved to increase its share of the Vietnam beer market by
acquiring the assets of the Danang (Song Han) State Brewery for $8 million.
Foster's said the
acquisition of the brewery
assets and Song Han
brand licence would allow
it to double the capacity
of its existing Danang
brewery to 450,000
hectolitres or six million
cases.
"The asset purchase
underlines Foster's
confidence in the Vietnam
market and puts us in an
ideal position to grow our
business in the second
fastest growing economy
in Asia," Foster's Brewing International managing director Rick Scully said.
He said the company's aim was to be a major player in Vietnam.
