Securities prices tend to fall at stock market

HANOI - The total value and prices of securities traded at the Ho Chi Minh City Securities Trading Centre on Aug. 25 tended to fall as supply outstripped demand. The total trade of 95,220 shares was valued at over VND 1.92 billion (USD 137,000). REE (Refrigeration Electrical Engineering Corporation) shares were traded at the floor price of VND 19,000, down by VND 300 compared to the Aug. 23 session while SAM (Cables and Telecommunications Material Joint Stock Company) shares were traded at VND 20,500, VND 100 lower than the ceiling price. The trade volume of REE shares was 18,900, and SACOM shares, 74,200.

Only 2,100 HAP (Hai Phong Paper Company) shares were traded at the ceiling price of VND 18,700, though purchase orders exceeded offers. Meanwhile, the rate of orders and offers for CP1-0100 Government bonds was 2,770/3. Only 20 such bonds were sold at VND 100,800 while no CP1-0200 bonds were traded as there were no buyers.

No TMS (Foreign Trade Forwarding and Warehousing Corporation) shares were offered at the session. The VN-index fell 0.12 or 0.1 percent to 118.84
