Eco-friendly bikes exported to Japan
HO CHI MINH CITY - A company producing environmentally-friendly electric bicycles has secured a deal with an import company in Japan.
The Delta Electric and Mechanical Engineering Co. Ltd in Ho Chi Minh City will export a first batch of 150 electric bicyles, said a company spokesman.
If the Delta sports designs sell well in Japan, the Japanese partners is likely to order 300-500 units per month, he explained. The 23kg bicycle is capable of reaching a speed of 20-25 km per hour, with a battery charge that lasts for 40-50km, he said. The Delta bicycles sale price is 230 usd per unit, much lower than electric bicycles made by other foreign manufacturers.
Electric bicycles are a new item with high export potential. They attract not only consumers but also producers at home and abroad as it is a pollution-free means of transport.
