Starting construction of Can Tho Bridge - a largest one in Mekong Delta
According to local sources, construction of the Can Tho Bridge, a largest one in Mekong delta, with investment capital of VND4,842 billion from JBIC has been started. To date, part of related site clearance in both provinces of Can Tho and Vinh Long has been completed. Part of the bridge body is bidden within December 2003 and it will be officially started in the first quarter of 2004.
The Can Tho Bridge crossing over the Hau River is a largest one in Mekong Delta, when completed it will push economic development in the whole region.
