Amcham in Hanoi calls upon the US government to have impartial attitude
On February 19, the US Chamber of Commerce (Amcham) in Hanoi issued advice calling upon the US government to have impartial treatment towards Vietnam in lawsuit of prawn dumping.
According to Amcham, Vietnam has advantage of natural conditions, imposing any anti dumping tax rate on imported prawn from Vietnam is not suitable for actual economic situation. Beside interest of consumers of the US, imported prawn estimates to bring 130,000 jobs for American employees. Imposing anti dumping tax rate or quota on imported prawn from Vietnam leads to increase price of prawn in the US.
For the economic interest of the two countries, Amcham calls upon the US Department of Commerce to have impartial attitude towards Vietnam.
